The Singapore International Young Pianist Competition runs alongside the renowned Singapore International Piano Competition (SIPC), sharing the same prestigious organizing team from the Global International Musicians Association.

General Guidelines
Eligibility and Age Requirement
Participation is open to individuals of all nationalities up to the age of 28 (born after January 1, 1996).
Eligibility Restrictions
Registration for Groups 3-9, 14-19, and 37-39 is not permitted for current students of conservatory elementary/middle schools, conservatory junior/pre-college division, and current/graduated music major students from conservatories/universities.
Performance Requirements
Repetition of pieces performed in the Preliminary Round is permitted in the Final Round.
All pieces must be performed from memory, except for Piano Four Hands and Piano Duo groups.
Competition pieces should be selected from the general classical music repertoire, excluding popular music works.

Awards
The top six competitors in each group who score 90 points or higher will be each awarded a trophy and a certificate.
The teachers of the top six competitors in each group will be each awarded a medal and a certificate for outstanding teaching.
All remaining finalists will each receive a medal and a certificate.
According to the jury's decision, the top six places may be tied or remain vacant.
All cash prizes, trophies, and certificates will be announced and distributed at the finals in Singapore and will not be reissued. The awards ceremony will be conducted in three sessions. Competitors should carefully review the group information for each awards ceremony.
The final interpretation right of the competition belongs to the Singapore International Young Pianist Competition Organizing Committee.
Cash Prizes
Groups 1-2: The top three competitors will receive cash prizes of S$1,000 SGD, S$800 SGD, and S$500 SGD, respectively.
Groups 3-10: The highest scorer in each group will receive a cash prize of S$200 SGD.
Groups 11-13: The highest scorer in each group will receive a cash prize of S$200 SGD.
Groups 14-19: Only one top scorer across these groups will receive a cash prize of S$100 SGD.
Groups 20-39: The highest scorer in each group will receive a cash prize of S$150 SGD.
If there are fewer than six competitors in a group, the cash prize for that group will be canceled.
Video Publication Policy
The SIYPC Organizing Committee reserves the right to publish all performance videos on its website and social media platforms. This policy applies to all participants in the Singapore International Young Pianist Competition.
Final Interpretation Statement
The Singapore International Young Pianist Competition Organizing Committee reserves the ultimate right to interpret all provisions and rules outlined in these regulations. In instances where matters are not addressed or disputes arise, the committee will render a final decision based on principles of fairness and justice. By registering for the competition, participants are deemed to have agreed to all the rules in these regulations and to accept the final interpretation by the committee. We assure that all decisions will be made with the utmost commitment to ensuring the seamless progression of the competition, upholding fairness, and respecting the rights of all participants.
